At the Hampton Roads Hurricanes Travel Baseball and softball Association — known as the “Canes” — our mission is to develop high moral character in the youth of our community through the game. We are committed to teaching the values of sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, teamwork, and respect for authority.

We believe baseball is not only a fun and challenging sport, but also a powerful tool for personal growth. The game teaches players how to overcome setbacks, embrace future opportunities, and strive for excellence — not perfection.

Our focus is on developing strong fundamentals, fostering a team-first mindset, and encouraging a commitment to continuous improvement. Through this approach, we aim to build not only better athletes, but future leaders — on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.

The Canes organization — including our families, coaches, and board members — is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and competitive environment where every player can grow in both skill and character.
